Overview

This section details the scholarship record and my statement of research.

27628627_10155318305000922_5222820779396791651_oDr. Sasso is commonly recognized for his research on the collegiate fraternity/sorority experience and for college student diversity issues. He was regularly appeared in the media between 2012-2015 in the wake of significant national incidents involving fraternities on flagship campuses. His research has also been cited in the amicus briefs in the affirmative action case Fisher v. Texas on college admissions. He is currently the ACPA Coalition on Men & Masculinity Emerging Scholar-In-Residence.

He is the co-editor and author of Today’s College Student (2015), Higher Education & Society (2016), The Dynamic Student Development Meta-Theory:  A New Model for Student Success (2017), and Colleges at the Crossroads: Taking Sides on Contested Issues (2017). One of his texts was nominated for a Critics Choice Award by the American Educational Studies Association. He is a recipient of the Dr. Charles Eberly Oracle Award from the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors and one of his research articles on fraternity/sorority policy was selected as one of the most influential of the last 10 years.
