AFA Presentations

At this past Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors annual meeting, I was able to call the conference site “home.” This was the first time that I ever have attended any higher education conference in my hometown of Washington, D.C. I co-presented 5 times in which I presented one session with my Stephen F. Austin colleagues Dr. Hollie Smith and my doctoral student Morgan Pulliam. I also presented more of my own research about sorority women and joined my Piazza Center colleagues about our hazing and prevention research. My favorite session was facilitating an authors panel for my forthcoming identity text Amplifying Voice, Advancing Belonging, & Affirming Identity in Sororities & Fraternities with Dra. Monica L. Miranda and Dr. Patrick Biddix.
