Pietro A. Sasso, Ph.D. is an educator and critical scholar. He is an Assistant Professor and the Graduate Program Director of College Student Personnel Administration at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He draws from over 15 years in postsecondary education as an administrator and professor.
His research interests are centered on identity construction of traditional undergraduates (college student development), alcohol misuse in higher education (student health outcomes), the impact of the college fraternity experience, and masculinity in higher education. Currently, he has a continuous record of scholarship which with 7 published books, more than 40 scholarly publications, and over 40 conference presentations. He is also the senior co-editor of Culture & Society in Higher Education text series for Stylus Publishing/Myers Education Press.
